In the sacred and blessed month of Ramadan – a time for charity and good deeds – one of the world’s largest food companies, CARGILL Inc., in collaboration with the global biotechnology industrial agro-complex RS SUCCESS AGRO, donated modern computer equipment to educational schools No. 5 and No. 31 in the Khavast district of the Syrdarya region in Uzbekistan.
The charity was carried out as part of the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who declared 2023 the Year of Care for People and Quality Education.
At the solemn ceremony of handing over the equipment to the schools, Dilnoza Kattakhanova, Deputy Director of the Youth Affairs Agency of Uzbekistan, Robiya Ibragimova, General Director of RS SUCCESS AGRO, and Shavkat Zayniddinov, Deputy Hokim of the Syrdarya region, were present.
CARGILL Inc. noted that Cargill has been in business for over 150 years. During this time, the priorities of sustainable development and responsibility for future generations have been clearly crystallized. The joint charitable project with RS SUCCESS AGRO to provide schools with laptops is an investment in a successful and prosperous future for the world. Because when children receive a good education, communities receive numerous benefits.

Shavkat Zayniddinov, Deputy Hokim of the Syrdarya region, emphasized: “The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, pays exceptional attention to improving the quality of education for our children. Equipping schools with modern computer technology can significantly improve the educational process. And what is especially important is that today, jointly with CARGILL Inc. and RS SUCCESS AGRO, the latest equipment has been handed over to two schools in the Khavast district, which will allow children from small towns and villages to receive the same quality modern education as children from large cities.”
