INDUSTRIAL INNOVATION GROUP within the framework of the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Syrdarya region, has presented the irrigation and reclamation project “Sustainable Water Resources Management System in the Syrdarya Region” to Sherzod Qudbiyev, Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Among the global effects of the irrigation and reclamation project are soil health, water use efficiency and water consumption.
The presentation was held on the basis of the global biotechnological industrial agro-complex RS SUCCESS AGRO, which is part of structure of the transcontinental company INDUSTRIAL INNOVATION GROUP.
Yuriy Shostak, General Director of Industrial Innovation Group, during the presentation, noted that it is about reducing the consumption of water resources to 50% of the current consumption level without losing irrigated areas through the introduction of advanced irrigation technology, modernization and construction of new irrigation facilities with automated control, installation of closed vertical and horizontal drainage, desalination of groundwater for reuse in irrigation, prevention of evaporation and efficient management and distribution of water.

The proposal for a strategic partnership is aimed at improving the efficiency of water use of scarce resources, as well as the conservation and restoration of agricultural lands in the Syrdarya region through the use of revolutionary automated remote control systems based on analytical data obtained from soil moisture sensors, weather stations and laboratories that prevent drainage and erosion of soils due to uncontrolled watering.
As part of the irrigation and reclamation project in Uzbekistan, measures will be taken to improve the efficiency of agricultural land use until 2030 on 287.5 thousand hectares of land.
“The strategic partnership provides for four key areas of implementation: groundwater monitoring, vertical drainage modernization, isolation of the water canal system and equipping canals with hydroelectric power plants. This complex, united by an innovative automated resource management system, will provide the lands with the necessary water resources in the shortest possible time. Building a durable water distribution system with a fully automated water management and metering system also allows for a reliable and fair water distribution system that will not only increase water resources, but also prevent soil drainage and increase crop fields.
